Two days before Christmas break, we met for our second English Café this year. This time we read the story of “The Gingerbread Man”, who runs as fast as he can, so nobody can catch him - until he comes to a river. A fox wants to help him to cross the river, but in the end the fox just messes with the gingerbread man and eats him.
After the story we got some cookie dough and made our own gingerbread man with special biscuit cutters. After 10 minutes in the oven we had good smelling cookies to decorate while listening to Christmas music. We created funny, festive and scary gingerbread men and ate some of them right after we finished decorating them.
